Lonnie Mayne created Red Shoes Living while serving as president of InMoment. It all started as an internal initiative to define and give structure to the distinctive InMoment culture. However, it soon grew into a force of its own through which Mayne and the company could provide support for a necessary but often neglected factor so necessary in building successful, customer-centric organizations: the human factor. At this year’s Loyalty Expo, Mayne will present “Using Red Shoes to Find the ‘Sole’ of Your Company.”
“The session basically focuses on Red Shoes’ culture and Red Shoes’ leadership,” Mayne says. “It’s a concept I created twenty plus years ago, and have used it in my career to build cultures and build leaders who stand out in everything they do like a pair of Red Shoes. It’s something I’m very passionate about and it’s a very simple, straightforward, five-step process that I developed.”
The concept Red Shoes is all about standing out in everything you do from how you interact with customers to the products that you build and sell, as well as how team members treat each other internally. “Red Shoes becomes a reminder or symbol, if you will, of standing out,” Mayne adds, “and as I’ve worked with corporations over the past couple of years many have come back to me and said what it literally means is putting people into the one percent; doing that little bit more that stands out, again like a pair of red shoes.”
“The other thing that has been really interesting about the Red Shoes living concept,” he continues, “is it doesn’t just live and breathe inside of the business, it’s actually something that becomes very personal to people and they take that home with them.” People begin to live their lives in a Red Shoe way.
Just about anyone can benefit from this session Mayne insists. “From executives, all the way to frontline employees and everyone in between,” Mayne explains. “At its core, it’s a reminder not lose your soul both in the business and as an individual and to keep that soul of the company alive as you work with your client's, customers, and employees.”
Attendees will walk out of the session with a framework that they’re going to be able to use right after they leave, both inside their business and out, Mayne insists. “We’ll talk about alignment from a cultural perspective,” he adds, “and how you actually deploy the Red Shoes culture into the organization where it’s most impactful.” Session-goers will also understand the sustainability model.
“And that’s one of the keys to Red Shoes and that’s how one sustains the Red Shoes concept again both inside the business and outside of the business,” Mayne adds. “I’m confident everyone in attendance will appreciate and get into the Red Shoes spirit.”
Loyalty Expo, the true Voice of the Customer-driven and best practice-focused customer loyalty conference, will be held May 2nd through the 4th at the Caribe Royale Hotel & Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
