Kim Matlock, Hard Rock International, Senior Director, Digital and Customer Relationship Management
As Senior Director Digital and Customer Relationship Management for Hard Rock International, Kim Matlock is responsible for <a href="http://www.HardRock.com">http://www.HardRock.com</a> and the development and execution of strategies across web, CRM and customer response. Kim also oversees all activities involving Hard Rock’s social media channels, including its Facebook pages and Twitter accounts across 54 countries. Under Kim’s leadership, Hard Rock’s social media presence has significantly increased and continues to climb. Since Kim joined Hard Rock in 2010, Hard Rock’s Facebook fan base has increased to more than 6.2 million fans, and the brand now has more than 600,000 Twitter followers. Additionally, Kim has championed several highly successful social media initiatives for the Hard Rock brand, such as the Hunt for Hard Rock, an online scavenger hunt leading up to the much anticipated Hard Rock Calling concert festival in London, and all onsite Facebook and Twitter activation throughout the annual music festival. Kim was also instrumental in the implementation of Hard Rock Rising, the first global battle of the bands, which consisted of a partnership with ReverbNation.com and Facebook. Through her close relationship with Facebook, Hard Rock was also one of the first brands to be utilized for Facebook’s new charity “deals,” where funds were raised for Hard Rock’s IMAGINE campaign to benefit WhyHunger. Matlock boasts a broad range of experience across a spectrum of disciplines, from marketing and sales to software development. Prior to Hard Rock, Matlock was Marketing Director, Global Events Business Management for Microsoft, where she acted as a business and brand steward for the TechEd & Tech Days brands. During her time at Microsoft, Matlock also served as a brand evangelist, responsible for building a brand advocate framework through customer engagement, in-person and online events and product community innovation programs. Prior to Microsoft, Matlock was the co-founder of Software Company, focused on creating social media platforms for the entertainment industry. She also worked at XOS Technologies, where she oversaw two departments: XOS Community and CollegeSportsDirect.com. In addition, while at XOS Technologies she delivered a new Web 2.0 private-label social networking product for Electronic Arts’ EASPORTS division: EASPORTSWorld.com, which integrated Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08, NCAA Football 08, Madden NFL 08 and FIFA08 game features to the online social media experience. Matlock, a graduate of Valencia College, currently resides in Orlando, FL with her husband Mark, and two sons Joshua and Logan.
